Bently Nevada ORBIT 60 SERIES

Next-generation condition monitoring, asset protection,

and data integration for all rotating machinery in any industry

The Orbit 60 Series is Bently Nevada’s most advanced condition monitoring

and protection system that will help you make smarter decisions faster—

and accelerate your journey to digital transformation.

It collects and processes data on the edge at high speed

—equipping operators with the right analytics

and machine‑health information needed to optimize performance and maintenance.

Robust cybersecurity

The Orbit 60 Series is the first intrinsically cybersecure vibration

monitoring system with a built‑in data diode—creating a safe industrial

environment for data processing. It’s designed to ISA 62443 Cybersecurity Standard.

Enhanced analytics

The system has 100x higher signal processing power than the industry

standard. It offers best‑in‑class data resolution across all machine

types, and seamlessly connects to System 1 software for advanced data

analysis—delivering highly accurate machine‑health information at the speed you need.

Bently ORBIT 60 SERIES Scalability and flexibility

Scalability and flexibility

The architecture can support up to 65 dynamic data channels per

rack (versus industry average of 50), so you can monitor more

machinery with less effort and lower capital expenditure. With scalable

architecture, a modular remote I/O system, and the ability to connect

to third‑party systems—the Orbit 60 Series can cover a wide range of

assets, from critical machinery to balance of plant—making it the

ideal platform for future expansions.

It’s also the only turbomachinery monitoring system that can be

distributed or rack‑based, which maximizes your installation and operating flexibility.

The unit is exponentially more efficient: 50% smaller than industry

standard, so it optimizes space and reduces associated costs

for installation, operations, and maintenance—across a wide range

of industries including oil and gas, power generation, renewables, and industrial.

Continuity

The Orbit 60 Series performs high‑resolution offline data storage

for incidents—ensuring continued access to data even during a

network interruption. It has SIL 2 Certification for confidence through redundancy measures.

Bently Nevada 2300 Vibration Monitor Series Description

Description

The 2300 Vibration Monitors provide cost-effective continuous

vibration monitoring and protection capabilities for small and

spared machinery. They are specifically designed to

continuously monitor and protect essential balance-of-plant

equipment assets in a wide range of industries, including: oil &

gas, power generation, water treatment, pulp & paper,

manufacturing, mining, cement, and a wide range of

equipment in other industries.

The 2300 Vibration Monitors deliver vibration monitoring and

high vibration level alarming. They include two channels of

vibration measurement inputs from various accelerometer-

and proximitor- type sensors, a speed input channel, and

outputs for relay contacts. Any channel may be used for

process parameter sensor inputs. The 2300/20 monitors

feature a configurable 4-20 mA output, as well as Modbus/

TCP, which interfaces more points to a DCS. The 2300/25

monitor features System 1* connectivity for Trendmaster SPA

interface configuration, which enables users to leverage

existing DSM SPA infrastructure. Envelop acceleration

demodulation is also supported for advanced rolling element

bearing and gear diagnostics.

The 2300 Vibration Monitors are designed for use on a broad

range of machine trains or individual casings where the

sensor point count fits the monitor’s channel count and

where advanced signal processing is desired.

The 2300 Vibration Monitors provide very low cost condition

monitoring and protection capability on small machinery. The

monitors can be used with proximity sensing to be used on

fluid film bearing machines and velomitor sensing to

monitor slow speed machines.

A-B The IMC-S/23x is available as a two- or four-axis motion controllerModel Number Explanation

Model Number Explanation

The IMC-S/23x is available as a two- or four-axis motion controller

with optional Remote I/O and AxisLink. The complete model number

is specified as shown below.

Pre-engineered cable assemblies are used for connecting the Flex I/O,

servo amplifiers, feedback devices, axis-specific (dedicated) I/O,

CPU watchdog, and the 4100-REC. The table below shows the avail

As shown in the figure below, the IMC-S/23x can produce motion on

any axis in many different ways. The indexer moves an axis using

either a trapezoidal, parabolic, or S-curve (controlled jerk) velocity

profile. Axis velocity, acceleration, and deceleration are programma

ble. Backlash compensation allows precise positioning in the pres

ence of mechanical backlash. The jogger produces constant speed

motion of an axis in either direction with programmable velocity,

acceleration and deceleration.

A-B IMC-S/23x High Level Motion Functions

High Level Motion Functions

As shown in the figure below, the IMC-S/23x can produce motion on

any axis in many different ways. The indexer moves an axis using

either a trapezoidal, parabolic, or S-curve (controlled jerk) velocity

profile. Axis velocity, acceleration, and deceleration are programma

ble. Backlash compensation allows precise positioning in the pres

ence of mechanical backlash. The jogger produces constant speed

motion of an axis in either direction with programmable velocity,

acceleration and deceleration.

Electronic gearing allows any axis to be slaved to another axis (the

master) at a specified ratio. Electronic cams produce coordinated

motion profiles which are functions of time or the position of another

axis. Electronic gearing and cam motion may be combined with move

and jog motions to create complex motion profiles and synchroniza

tions. Motion merge capabilities allow smooth transitions between all

types of motion, thus providing a software clutch.

Two independent interpolators for all axes allow any two or three

axes to be moved as a group along a linear, circular or helical path.

Motions from the two interpolators may be combined with each other

or with other types of motion.
