SST The 5136-PFB-VME provides 8-bit access to objects

Startup Card

Before using the 5136-PFB-VME card on ProfiBus, download the PFBPROFI software module to the card and configure and run the software module.

Download the software module to shared memory from the host computer, or download it to flash memory using the serial CONFIG port on the card.

The shared memory module is called vmeprofi.ss1. The module in flash memory is called vmeprofi.ssf.

To run the software module, load the appropriate initial boot record (IBR, see Section 2.7.3. Initial Boot Record) to the card.

There are two IBRs, one for running the module from flash memory and one for running the module from shared memory.

It is possible to install one module in flash memory and another in shared memory and run one or the other depending on the IBR used.

When the card is first received, the only software on the card is a short bootloader program in flash memory.

Use this bootloader to access the card and download the software modules to the card via the serial port.

Loading the VMEPROFI Module into Shared Memory from the Host Computer

Use the following steps to load vmeprofi.ss1 into shared memory from the host computer

Load vmeprofi.ss1 into shared memory from the host:

1. Ensure that the board processor is in a reset state by setting the CpuReset bit in the board control registers to 1.

2. Set the standard memory address using the address bits in the Memory Control Register and the Interrupt Control Register.

3. select the addressing mode (linear or paging) and enable the board memory. 4.

4. if using interrupts, initialize the interrupt ID register and enable interrupts in the interrupt control register.

5. copy vmeprofi.ss1 to shared memory on the card. In linear mode, copy the module starting at offset 0 only.

In paged mode, copy one 16 Kbyte module at a time and change pages as needed.

6. Write the shared memory initial boot record. In linear addressing mode, write base address + 3FF30h.

In paged mode, set the page register to FFh and write the IBR to base address + 3F30h.

SST Woodhead 5136-PFB-VME Profibus Interface Card

Access rights

The 5136-PFB-VME provides 8-bit access to objects in the short address space and 8-bit and 16-bit access to objects in the standard address space.

The VME master selects whether a particular bus cycle accesses the short address space,

the standard address space, or the long address space (extended address space) by using the address modifier code,

Extended Address Space, Standard Address Space, Extended Address Space, or Long Address Space

(Extended Address Space and Long Address Space are not used by the 5136-PFB-VME) for a particular bus cycle, as well as the type of access.

The card decodes these address modifier codes and determines the object to be accessed.

In addition to selecting one of the four available spaces on the VME bus, the address modifier code selects

– Whether the master is performing supervised or unprivileged accesses

– Whether the access is to program space or data space (all accesses except short address space)

– Whether it is a single object access or a block access

The 5136-PFB-VME can respond to address modifier codes 3Dh, 39h, 2Dh, and 29h.

Regulatory or unprivileged data accesses can be made to the standard address space (3Dh and 39h, respectively).

Supervised or unprivileged access to the short address space (2Dh and 29h, respectively) is available.

Accessing the board with an unsupported address modifier code results in a VMEbus error.

Bit 7 of the board DIP switch is used to select whether to allow supervisory access only, or both supervisory and unprivileged access.

ABB TZIDC-200 Switching points for the position

Switching points for the position

You can use these parameters to define two position limits for

signaling (see option “Module for digital position feedback”).

Digital output

The alarms generated in the positioner can be polled via the

digital output as a collective alarm.

The desired information can be selected via the operator panel

or remotely via the configuration program.

The output can be set to “active high” or “active low”, as

required.

Digital input

For the digital input, one of the following safety options can be

selected. You may use the operator’s panel or configuration

program to select an option.

— No function (default)

— Move to 0 % position

— Move to 100 % position

— Hold previous position

— Disable local configuration

— Disable local configuration and operation

— Disable any access (no local or remote access via a PC)

The selected function is activated when the 24 V signal is no

longer connected to the digital input (< 11 V DC).

ABB TZIDC-200 Digital Positioner Shut-off function

Shut-off function

This parameter can be set separately for each end position.

When the respective configured limit value is exceeded, the

shut-off function causes immediate travel of the actuator until

reaching the set end position.

If the value “0” is entered for the corresponding parameter, the

position is further controlled, even in the respective end

position.

Travel time prolongation

This function can be used to increase the max. travel time for

full travel. This time parameter can be set separately for each

direction.

This function can only be used with the pneumatics with the

safety function “fail-safe”.

The output can be set to “active high” or “active low”, as

required.

ABB TZIDC-200 Digital Positioner Communication

Use

The positioner has a built-in operating panel providing a 2-line

LCD display and 4 operating buttons for commissioning,

configuration and monitoring during live operation.

Alternatively, the appropriate configuration program can be

used via the available communication interface.

Communication

The positioner has a local communication interface (LCI) as

standard. Additionally, a “HART communication” option for

communication via the 20 mA signal is available. Both

communications are based on the HART Protocol.

Alternatively, HART5 or HART7 are available.

Inputs / Outputs

In addition to its input for the analog position setpoint, the

positioner is equipped with a digital input which can be used

to activate control system functions in the device. A digital

output allows you to output collective alarms or fault messages.

Modular design

The basic model can be enhanced at any time by retrofitting

optional equipment.

Option modules can be installed for analog and digital position feedback.

Additionally, a mechanical position indicator, proximity

switches or 24 V microswitches are available for indicating the

position independently of the mother board function.

Bently Nevada Machinery Condition Monitoring 3500 System

System Components

This section describes the individual components that make up a complete 3500 system.

Instrument Rack

The standard 3500 Rack is available in 19” EIA rail-mount, panel-cutout-mount, and bulkhead-mount

versions.

The rack provides slots for two Power Supplies and a TDI in the left-most rack positions

that are reserved exclusively for these modules. The remaining 14 slots in the rack can

accommodate any combination of monitor, display, relay, Keyphasor module, and communication

gateway modules.

All modules plug into the rack’s backplane and consist of a main module and an associated I/O module.

The I/O module installs at the rear of the rack for panel-mount systems, and above the main module for

bulkhead-mount systems.

Standard rack depth is 349 mm (13.75 inches), while bulkhead mount rack depth is 267 mm (10.5 inches).

NEMA 4 and 4X weatherproof housings are available when required for environmental protection or

when purge air is used.

Mini Rack

A mini rack (12” wide instead of 19”) is also available and features 7 available monitor slots instead of 14.

Like its larger counterpart, the left-most slots are reserved for the Power Supply or Supplies and TDI

Module.

The mini rack may be mounted in a panel cutout or, using an optional adapter plate, on 19” EIA mounting

rails.

Bulkhead mounting is not available.

Bently The 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor has similar features

Proximitor Sensor

The 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor has similar features to those found in the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximitor

Sensor.

Its thin design allows the user to mount it in either a high-density DIN-rail installation or a more

traditional panel mount configuration.

Improved RFI/EMI immunity allows the 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor to achieve European

CE mark approvals without any special mounting considerations.

This RFI immunity also prevents nearby high frequency radio signals from adversely affecting the

transducer system.

SpringLoc terminal strips on the Proximitor Sensor require no special installation tools and facilitate faster,

highly robust field wiring connections.

Bently The 3300 XL NSv Transducer System

The 3300 XL NSv Transducer System design allows it to replace both the 3300 RAM

Transducer Systems and the 3000-series or 7000-series 190 Transducer System.

Upgrades from the 3300 RAM system to the 3300 XL NSv system may use the existing probe, extension

cable, and monitoring system with 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor.

Upgrades from the 3000-series or 7000-series Transducer System must replace the probe,

extension cable, and Proximitor Sensor with NSv components.

The 3300 XL NSv Transducer System has an Average Scale Factor of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil),

which is the most common output for eddy current transducers.

Its enhanced side-view and small target characteristics give it a shorter linear range

than the Bently Nevada 3300 XL-series 5 and 8 mm Transducer System.

The 1.5 mm (60 mils) of linear range exceeds the linear range of the 3000-series 190 Transducer System.
