Dual WirelessHART® is a feature on the Emerson Wireless 1410S

that allows a single point of communication for up to 400

WirelessHART devices to a central Gateway host.

Adding a second Emerson Wireless 781S Smart Antenna

enhances the Emerson Wireless 1410S Gateway, significantly

lowering infrastructure and installation expenses by doubling

the number of devices capable of connecting. Each antenna

communicates with independent networks that the Gateway

Network Manager operates. You’ll have more visibility to critical

assets that help you improve your productivity.

The Dual WirelessHart feature is available as a software upgrade for

existing Emerson Wireless 1410S Gateway models by purchasing

the upgrade option file and a second WirelessHART 781S Smart

Antenna.

Emerson PACSystems™ RXi2-XP Industrial PC

High-Performance Computing

Emerson uses the latest Intel processors based on their

unmatched performance. The RXi2-XP IPC has up to 32GB of

ECC RAM, 5 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, and industrial grade

high-speed HDD storage (or optional SSD disk storage) to

complete the high-performance design.

These features make the RXi2-XP IPC the perfect platform for

running industrial applications right at the machine, even in

the harshest environments.

The RXi2-XP IPC provides additional application flexibility with

both mini PCI Express and low-profile PCI Express slots. This

expandability combined with advanced CPUs delivers high

performance, computing.

To help keep data and operations secure, the RXi2-XP utilizes

Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and Microsoft Secure Boot technology.

All aspects of the RXi2-XP IPC have been engineered

for reliability in harsh environments, from the use of all

industrial grade components to its fanless design. The core

of the RXi2-XP IPC architecture is Emerson’s rugged COM

Express modular  CPU platform. Emerson incorporates

patented thermal monitoring technology with sophisticated

passive cooling techniques to provide the highest

performance, fanless industrial computing platform that can

operate in extended temperature ranges.

AI12e ABB Ability™ Symphony® Plus Hardware Selector

Features and benefits

• Sixteen (16) high-level Analog Input signal channels including:

• 4 to 20 mA DC, 0 to 1 VDC, 0 to 5 VDC, 1 to 5 VDC, -10 to +10 VDC, 0 to +10 VDC

• Up to 64 HART v5.4 secondary variables Total, max 4 secondary variables per analog I/O CH

• Secondary HART variable update 2.5 typical, 8 max seconds

• ±0.1 % of Full Scale Range accuracy

• In HN800 operating mode, AI12e supports optional module redundancy

The AI12e Analog Input module processes up to sixteen (16) highlevel

analog input field signals. Each channel is independently

configurable for any of the supported high-level signal ranges.

FC 221 (I/O Device Definition) sets AI module operating

parameters, and each input channel is configured using FC 222

(Analog Input CH) to set individual input channel parameters such

as engineering units, High/Low alarm limits, etc.

The analog input channels are 1 x 16 group isolated and support

HART.

AD11e ABB Ability™ Symphony® Plus Hardware Selector

Features and benefits

• Sixteen (16) mixed field Input/Output signal channels including:

• 4x AI: 4 to 20 mA or 1 to +5 VDC

• 4x AO: 4 to 20 mA or 1 to +5 VDC

• 4x DI: 24/48/110/125 VDC, or 100/120 VAC

• 1 msec SOE timestamp reolution for 24 and 48 VDC DI

The AD11e Analog Drive module processes up to sixteen (16) mixedtype

field signals. The AD11e provides 4x AI, 4x AO, 4x DI, and 4x DO

signals.

FC 221 (I/O Device Definition) sets AD11e module operating

parameters and each I/O channel is configured using FC 222 for

Analog Inputs, FC223 for Analog Outputs, FC224 for Digital Inputs,

and FC225 for Digital Outputs.

The analog I/O channels are 1×8 group isolated and support HART.

The digital I/O channels provide CH-2-CH isolation, and the digital

inputs support SOE (Sequence of Events).

The digital outputs of the AD11e module are open-collector

transistor type, 24-48 VDC outputs capable of handling up to 250 mA.

Core components of the SDe series product portfolio include:

SDe series hardware

SDe Series control and I/O modules have been

designed to consume very little power, operate in

extreme environments, and can operate with a

supply voltage of 24V only. SDe controllers

consume 3.6 W per module and SDe Series I/O

modules consume an average of 2.1 W. SDe Series

controller and I/O modules are designed to

support operating temperature ranges from -40

to +70 °C. In addition, all SDe Series hardware is

available with ISA 74.01 G3 conformal coating.

SDe series controllers

Powerful high-capacity scalable controllers with

flexible mounting options for small to large

applications. Selection is dependent on process

complexity, number of I/O and mounting method.

ABB Evolution Mounting Chassis and Bases

SDe Series I/O Modules

The SDe I/O family includes a range of

redundancy enabled, intelligent analog, HART,

digital and mixed I/O modules. Each module

couples with an evolution mounting base for use

in a Harmony Rack system and is fully compatible

with the HR BRC410. SD and SDe controllers.

Compatible turbine specific modules deliver a

fully integrated single-vendor solution for all

aspects of turbine automation within the plant

automation platform.

Evolution Mounting Chassis and Bases

SDe Evolution mounting chassis and bases allow

direct reuse of HR cabinets, module cabling,

termination units and field wiring by providing

form and space fit replacements that enable

stepwise evolution at all levels.

Seamless integration with intelligent field devices

via standard protocol interfaces: PROFIBUS DP,

HART, IEC61850. IEC60870-5-104. DNP 3.0.

Ethernet IP and Modbus TCP.

ABB S+ Intuitive navigation

Audit trail

Effective change management enables users to meet evolving business needs in a safe and secure

manner. Within the automation system, changes to system configurations must be carefully controlled

to ensure all modifications are traceable and accountable. S+ Engineering provides complete

audit trail support for those industries that require regulatory compliance. When deployed,

S+ Engineering’s audit trail functionality tracks and archives user actions including system

changes made at any engineering workstation onto a central database. These events can also be

archived in the system’s historian for long term security audit purposes.

Intuitive navigation

The workbench’s graphical user interface, object-re lated context menus, navigator windows and many

help functions provide intuitive user guidance. Within the engineering environment, users can freely navi

gate from a tag to its associated control logic documents (CLD). Cross navigation with S+ Operations

Human Machine Interface (HMI) is also seamless.

Users can right click CLDs to call-up a faceplate while operators in the HMI environment can right click on

graphic to go to the associated logic document via the view and monitor interface. From here, the oper

ator has access to the specific function code along with simulation via block detail utilities. Links to 3rd

party documentation like PDF user manuals, excelreports, etc. are also easily established.
