DEIF iE 150 Marine Easy to use, easy to reconfigure

Easy to use, easy to reconfigure

Using and reconfiguring the iE 150 Marine is very easy. The illuminated buttons on the front-mounted

device guide you, and you only see options that are relevant for the present function.

The controller is password-protected, and you can configure the necessary permission levels.

And because it comes with all necessary control software, you can quickly reconfigure it for

different applications by accessing its parameters from the display or the PC tool.

For vessels with up to seven energy sources, the iE 150 Marine gives you reliable and cost-effective

asset control and power management with all the features you need to ensure uninterrupted and efficient

power delivery.

COMPATIBLE

You can use the iE 150 Marine to design a new asset control or power/energy management

system from the ground up for newbuilds, and you can integrate it in existing control solutions

(interfacing with other DEIF or third-party controllers). It can be configured as a genset or

battery master controller and read data from other controllers on the network.

The device can communicate with a wide range of engines and ECUs (engine control units)

and also supports the J1939 protocol for engine drive applications.

The ability to use the controller for newbuild or retrofit projects makes the iE 150 Marine

widely compatible with other devices. Full DEIF control or mixed controller brands?

Complete refit or upgrade of existing assets? Standalone asset control, energy management,

or engine drive? The choice is yours, and it’s all possible with the iE 150 Marine.

DEIF iE 150 Marine Simple and effective power management

Simple and effective power management

You can set up simple and effective power/energy management systems with up to 7 energy sources.

This gives you stable operation and reliable power round the clock, and it optimises fuel consumption

and balances the loads in the system. The iE 150 Marine supports multi-master control:

If the current master controller fails, another takes over master controller duties,

and all other controllers continue to operate.

Ideal for battery retrofit

The ability to control and protect an ESS makes the iE 150 Marine ideal for replacing one or

more onboard generators with a battery pack. This helps you run the remaining gensets more

efficiently and reduce fuel consumption and emissions. The iE 150 Marine is widely compatible with

other devices and can be used in solutions with full DEIF control or mixed controller brands.

DEIF iE 150 Marine Cost-effective and flexible controller for coastal, harbour, and inland vessels

ENERGY-EFFICIENT

With the iE 150 Marine, you can optimise your onboard energy system by setting up simple

and effective power/energy management. You can combine up to 7 controllers in the system:

up to 2 generators, up to 2 energy storage systems, up to 2 bus tie breakers, and a shore connection.

The management system ensures that operation is stable and that the power you need is always available.

It automatically starts and stops generators, closes and opens breakers, and charges and

discharges the storage system. By doing so, it can optimise fuel consumption and balance

the loads in the system, and it can prevent blackouts.

All iE 150 Marine controllers can act as master controller: If the current master controller fails,

another takes over master controller duties, and all other controllers continue to operate.

With the built-in software of the iE 150 Marine, you can control a generator

(including non-synchronising emergency and standalone gensets), energy storage system (ESS),

bus tie breaker, or shore connection. The device offers engine drive functionality for engines, pumps,

and sprinklers, and it provides all the control and protection features you need,

from fuel usage monitoring to automatically using an ESS for spinning reserve to support load deviations.

SIMPLE AND FLEXIBLE

The iE 150 Marine makes life easier for the system designer and user alike: One single controller

model comes with all the necessary software to control and protect a diesel generator

(including non-synchronising emergency and standalone gensets), an energy storage system,

a shore connection, or a bus tie breaker. The device offers engine drive functionality for engines,

pumps, and sprinklers, and you can quickly reconfigure it for different applications from the display or

using the PC tool.

The illuminated buttons guide the user, making the controller very easy and intuitive to operate.

You will only see options that are relevant for the present function, and you can easily access

the most commonly used functions with configurable shortcuts.

DEIF iE 150 Marine Control and protect your onboard assets

Ideal for non-oceangoing ships, the flexible and user-friendly iE 150 Marine lets you

build power/energy management systems with up to seven assets, manage standalone

generators and emergency gensets, or control engines, pumps, and sprinklers.

The iE 150 Marine is a cost-effective controller for non-oceangoing ships such as in-harbour ships,

riverboats, crew boats, coasters, and pleasure craft. It provides asset control and protection plus

the ability to set up power/energy management systems that optimise efficiency and save fuel.

DEIF iE 650 PLC Robust and well protected

Wide operating temperature range

The sturdy electronics design of the iE 650 PLC gives it a design lifetime of 10 years at

40 °C ambient temperature, and the ability to operate from -40 to 70 °C. As a result,

you can use the iE 650 PLC all over the world. It can start from -40 °C and can be stored from -40 to 85 °C.

It will operate at a relative humidity from 5 to 97% (condensing at 55 °C).

This contributes to lower service costs, and the long lifetime ensures high value for

your investment and minimises electronic waste.

Robust and well protected

The iE 650 PLC is designed for robustness based on the proven AWC 500 design.

The base-mounted rack design makes the iE 650 PLC resistant to bumps (25 g),

shocks (50 g), and vibrations, even during transportation.

The backplane interconnection of the I/O modules ensures reliable communication in harsh

environments, avoiding long-term damage often seen with slide-in contacts.

The flanges ensure improved grounding to increase protection against EMC, and its built-in

protection circuits safeguard the controller from surges and fast transients up to 4kV, electrostatic

discharge up to 6kV.

DEIF iE 650 PLC Fast, fail-safe, and secure system software

Fast, fail-safe, and secure system software

The iE 650 PLC uses a Linux OS maintained in-house by DEIF, a fast-starting, fail-safe, robust,

and secure system software. The architecture of the platform is fully open,

giving you full access to system set-up, plus a world of options including web-based configuration,

user management, IEC 61131-3 programming via CODESYS V3.5. and secure web-based visualisation.

A wide range of communication protocols like MODBUS RTU/TCP, OPC UA, CAN/CANopen, J1939.

and PROFINET are provided as standard. Controller redundancy is supported by the

CODESYS Controller Redundancy feature via Single Licenses.

The iE 650 PLC has two OS images that are separate from the application. If a start-up or

software update fails, the unit switches to the other image and completes the operation.

Both images can be updated, and troubleshooting can be carried out, using remote access.

The iE 650 PLC handles software updates itself.

The controller is prepared to deal with cybersecurity threats:

The new CPU module and operating system are compliant to IEC 62443.
