ABB Robobell 625 Metabell, Metallic Effect With High TE

Metabell, Metallic Effect With High TE

The Metabell function combines the high TE (Transfer

Efficiency) of a rotary atomizer with the metallic effect of

a conventional spray gun.  This new unique feature allows

for second coat base coat solvent borne application of me

tallic paint. It also opens the door to an innovative single

coat base coat concept. Achieving the high quality metal

lic finishing is accomplished by controlling the particle

colliding energy.  Shaping air ring, bell cup and application

parameters are the cornerstones of the Metabell application.

Robot – Atomizer, Process Partners

Combining high performance atomizers with high per

formance robots makes for an impressive production tool.

The high performance of the robot opens the door to new

paint methods. The atomizer can move around on the

body surface without any escaping point, the robot can

keep or increase the speed when changing direction. The

high performance atomizer will withstand the high accel

eration forces generated by the robot.

Improper use

The following are considered to be instances of especially

improper use of the device:

• For use as a climbing aid, for example for mounting purposes.

• For use as a bracket for external loads, for example as a support for piping, etc.

• Material application, for example by painting over the

housing, name plate or welding/soldering on parts.

• Material removal, for example by spot drilling the housing.

Warranty provisions

Using the device in a manner that does not fall within the scope

of its intended use, disregarding this manual, using

underqualified personnel, or making unauthorized alterations

releases the manufacturer from liability for any resulting

damage. This renders the manufacturer’s warranty null and void.

ABB The LS25 has ATEX, IECEx and CSA certificates

Introduction

As an integrated part of the Advance Optima series the LS25

can be combined with further analyzer modules and completely operated remotely in Ethernet networks.

The LS25 has ATEX, IECEx and CSA certificates for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

The power supply unit converts 100-240 volts AC to 24 volts DC (24 volts DC can be supplied directly to

the transmitter unit if available).

The power supply box is connected to the transmitter box by a cable. 4-20 mA input signal from external

gas temperature/pressure sensor

can be connected to the screw terminals in the power supply box or directly to the cable connector on

the transmitter unit.

The receiver electronics are connected to the transmitter electronics via a cable.

The absorbed signals detected from the photodetector are amplified and transmitted via this cable to the

transmitter unit.

The same cable transmits the required power supply from the transmitter unit to the receiver unit.

The transmitter Al box contains the main electronic components.

The central processor board performs all instrument control and gas concentration calculations.

The main board contains all the electronics required for the operation of the instrument,

such as the diode laser current and temperature control as well as the analogue to digital signal

conversion.

The display (LCD) continuously shows the gas concentration, laser beam transmission and instrument

status.

an RS-232 port is available for direct serial communication with a PC.

An optional Ethernet board provides TCP/IP communication over a local area network (LAN) as an

alternative to serial communication.

All cable connectors are Phoenix VARIOSUB type and are waterproof.

ABBAO2000-LS25 Laser Analyser Instrument Description

Instrument Description

The analyser consists of 3 separate units:

 Transmitter unit with decontamination

 Receiver unit with decontamination

 Power supply unit

The transmitter unit consists of the laser module, the temperature stabilised diode laser,

the collimating optics and the main electronics in a coated aluminium case.

The receiver unit contains a focusing lens, photodetector and receiver electronics in a coated aluminium

case.

Both the transmitter and receiver have an environmental protection rating of IP66.

The standard optical window is pressure resistant up to 5 bar (absolute pressure).

The monitor is mounted by assembling the transmitter and receiver with the supplied

purge and calibration unit and mounting to a DN50 process flange (see Figure 3-1).

Optical alignment is both simple and reliable, and the purge device prevents dust

and other contaminants from being deposited on the optical window.

ABB Measurement and Analyser AO2000-LS25

The detector signal is spectrally decomposed into harmonic frequency components of the laser

modulation frequency.

The second harmonic of the signal is used to measure the concentration of the absorbed gas.

Both line amplitude and line width are Both line amplitude and line width are extracted from the second

harmonic line shape.

Therefore the measured concentration is not sensitive to changes in the line shape (line amplitude and

line width).

The measured concentration is not sensitive to line shape changes (line width and line width) caused by

background gases.

Note: The analyser measures only the concentration of free molecules in a given gas and is therefore not

sensitive to molecules bound to other molecules in complexes and molecules attached to or dissolved in

particles and droplets.

Care should be taken when comparing results with those obtained by other measurement techniques.

ABB TZIDC-200 Switching points for the position

Switching points for the position

You can use these parameters to define two position limits for

signaling (see option “Module for digital position feedback”).

Digital output

The alarms generated in the positioner can be polled via the

digital output as a collective alarm.

The desired information can be selected via the operator panel

or remotely via the configuration program.

The output can be set to “active high” or “active low”, as

required.

Digital input

For the digital input, one of the following safety options can be

selected. You may use the operator’s panel or configuration

program to select an option.

— No function (default)

— Move to 0 % position

— Move to 100 % position

— Hold previous position

— Disable local configuration

— Disable local configuration and operation

— Disable any access (no local or remote access via a PC)

The selected function is activated when the 24 V signal is no

longer connected to the digital input (< 11 V DC).
