Description of the Allen-Bradley 5069-OB16 Discrete Output Module

The Allen-Bradley 5069-OB16 is a compact 5000 discrete output module.

The module has sixteen (16) single gang source output channels and operates over a 10-32VDC voltage range.

At 10…. .32V DC, each channel provides 0.5 A resistive output current; at 10…. .32V DC, each module can provide a maximum of 8 A resistive output current.

The module can be used as a local I/O or distributed I/O component. It uses the 5069-RTB18-SPRING RTB and 5069-RTB18-SCREW RTB.

The Allen-Bradley 5069-OB16 is a discrete output module that is part of the Compact 5000 I/O product family.

It has an output voltage range of 10-32VDC and a nominal output of 24VDC.

Output current is rated at 0.5 A resistor per channel (10…. .32V DC) per channel and 8 A resistive (10…32V DC) per module. .32V DC) per module.

Each channel can withstand a maximum inrush current of 1 A at 10 ms per point, repeated every 2 seconds.

Similar to other output modules, this module is primarily used to energise and drive electrical loads. However, the 5069-OB16 is compatible with devices operating at 12/24VDC.

The module has a minimum on-state voltage of 10VDC, a maximum of 32VDC, and a minimum on-state current of 1 mA per channel.

The output delay time for each channel is 100 µs, ±10 µs @ 25 °C (77 °F) @ 0.5 A for ‘on’ to ‘off’ and ‘off’ to ‘on’ transitions.

The minimum pulse width of the module output is 200 µs @ 0.5 A @ 25 °C (77 °F).
