A-B Stratix 5400 Industrial Managed Switch

Rockwell Automation is extending the existing Stratix® portfolio of

industrial network infrastructure products to include a switch with an all

Gigabit (GE) platform. The Allen-Bradley® Stratix 5400 industrial managed

switch supports layer 2 switching and layer 3 routing with GE Power over

Ethernet (PoE) and additional GE fiber ports, which enhance scalability for

use in various applications.

This addition to the portfolio exhibits increased versatility with the

ability to support multiple network configurations. When used as a

layer 2 switch, the Stratix 5400 is an ideal solution for heavy industry

applications where dual ring architectures are required or where high

performance end devices, such as video or telephony, are needed.

When acting as a Layer 3 switch, routing is enabled between segmented

networks for better performance and protection from unwanted network

traffic. Segmenting the network helps to ease network changes, to

simplify network security management by building domains of trust and

to increase efficiency.

By choosing a switch co-developed by Rockwell Automation and Cisco,

your Operations Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT)

professionals leverage tools and technology that is familiar to them. By

helping to provide optimized integration, you can experience easier

commissioning and faster diagnostics retrieval.

Woodward Heavy Duty Gas Easy to Install

Easy to Install

›Most valves are drop in replacements and do not

require piping modifications

›Servovalve Interface option allows the installer to

use existing signal wiring from the control system

›Alternate communication options for control system

integration are available such as CAN Bus and Analog

I/O for maximum flexibility

›Electric actuators are paired with a remote Digital

Valve Positioner (DVP) that controls the actuator

operation and serves as the customer interface for

power/signal wiring and digital communications.

Multiple DVP’s can be packaged within a stainless

steel cabinet and prewired from the factory to greatly

reduce commissioning time

Woodward Common Problems with Hydraulic Actuators in Heavy Duty Gas Turbines

Common Problems with Hydraulic Actuators in Heavy Duty Gas Turbines

›Hydraulic fluid viscosity dependent on ambient

temperatures – leads to slower response times in

cold temperatures – resulting in failed starts

›Fluid varnishing can lead to clogged servovalve

passages resulting in failed starts or stops

›Potential of high pressure hydraulic leaks pose safety risks

›Premature seal failure – noise on hydraulic control

circuits can lead to premature wear on hydraulic

and gas seals

›No actuator/valve data to predict failure in advance of outages

Woodward easYgen-600 Technical Manual Genset Control Functions

Functions

• Protection: automatic start/stop of the genset, ATS (Auto Transfer Switch) control

with failure indication and protection function

• All output ports are relay-out

• Parameter settings: parameters can be modified and stored in internal FLASH

memory and cannot be lost even in case of a power outage; most of them can be

adjusted using front panel of the controller and all of them can be modified using

ToolKit-SC on a PC via USB or RS485 ports.

• Temperature, oil pressure and fuel level curves can be used directly and users can

define the sensor curves by themselves.

• Multiple crank disconnect conditions (generator frequency, speed sensor, oil

pressure) are optional.

• Event log, real-time clock, scheduled start & stop generator (can be set as start

genset once a day/week/month with or without load).

• Start-up logo and display time are user-defined.

• Can be used on pumping units and as an indicating instrument (indicate and alarm

are enable only, relay is inhibited).

• Maintenance function: Actions (warning or shutdown) can be set when maintenance

time out.

• Instead of conventional analog modulation with a potentiometer, all parameters use

digital adjustment for more reliability and stability.

• Accumulative total run time and total electric energy of A and B. The user can reset

it to 0 and re-accumulate the value, which allows to count the total value.
