Isolated systems are often used when an extremely reliable power supply must be guaranteed, such as in

emergency lighting systems.

Since the energy released in the event of an earth fault is not sufficient to trigger a circuit breaker

or a residual current circuit breaker, different protective devices must be used in the earthbound system.

Insulation monitors continuously determine the insulation resistance to earth and signal if a threshold

value is exceeded.

Insulation monitoring relays are the only technical solution for detecting earth faults in unearthed

systems.

ABB CM-TCN Intelligent Temperature Monitoring Relay Display

Display:

– Ensures intuitive and quick setup with the help of a symbol-based menu structure.

Configuration files for various applications are also available.

Each parameter can also be modified individually and stored as a user profile for future re-use.

Near Field Communication (NFC)

Each device in the Smart Monitoring Relay series has a built-in NFC antenna, which makes it possible to

use the ABB’s EPiC mobile smartphone app allows the device to be parameterized via NFC.

To read or write data, the smartphone needs to touch the surface of the CM-TCN.

The connection is only active when data is being transferred.

In contrast to Bluetooth, there is no continuous communication between NFC and the device.

ABB EPiC Smartphone App EpiC, or “Electrification Product Intuitive Configurator”, is a mobile application

that allows configuration and checking the status of ABB low voltage products.

The app is free and can be downloaded on Android and iOS. Registration is required to use it.

The 560HMR01 provides an integrated HMI that makes system monitoring easier and more efficient.

The integrated HMI board eliminates the need for a PC or laptop.

Local monitors, keyboards, mice, printers and speakers can be connected to the HMI board via USB, VGA

and audio interfaces.

The rugged design of the module ensures maintenance-free operation with maximum reliability.

Existing power supplies in the rack can be reused and redundant power supplies are also supported.

In addition, the 560HMR01 provides a battery-buffered real-time clock that maintains the current time

even when the power is turned off.

Firmware and operating system are installed in the module’s internal data memory.

Kollmorgen EtherCAT® Bus Coupler EtherCAT Terminals

For EtherCAT, stand-alone I/O systems with protection class IP 20 are available as EtherCAT Terminals.

Unlike the Bus Terminals, in which the fieldbus signals are realized in a Bus Coupler

on a terminal bus that is internally independent of the fieldbus,

the EtherCAT protocol remains fully intact within the individual terminal.

The EtherCAT coupler supports the operation of all Bus Terminals.

As far as the user is concerned, the analog inputs/outputs are handled no differently than in the other

series.

The information is processed as a byte array in the process image of the controller.

Analog and multifunction Bus Terminals can be adapted to each specific application.

Depending on the type, the registers of the analog Bus Terminals contain temperature ranges,

gain values and linearization characteristics.

The Bus Terminals store settings permanently in a fail-safe manner.

In addition, the Bus Terminals can be optionally controlled via the control system.

With function blocks (FB), the programmable logic controller (PLC) handles the

configuration of the entire periphery during the startup phase.

If required, the controller can upload the configuration data created centrally in order to manage and

store them centrally.

As a result, no new adjustments are required when changing bus terminals.

The controller automatically sets the required settings at power-up.

standards.

Connectivity

Rotatable IP65 connectors, or straight connectors are both available

to provide flexibility. Single connectors/plugs (combined power and

feedback) are also available to minimize motor and cable cost (SFD and

Absolute Digital Encoders only).

Thermal

Windings are rated conservatively at 100°C rise over a 40°C ambient

while using 155°C (class F) insulation materials. Motors meet applicable

UL, ULC, and CE requirements and include thermistors.

stack combinations. Specific torques are often available from multiple

frame sizes to optimize mounting and inertia matching capabilities.

Windings tailored to lower speeds are also available.

Voltage

AKM2G motors can be applied to all standard global voltages. Windings

are specifically tailored to work with drives powered by 120. 240. 400 or

480 Vac. AKM2G motors can be operated on DC voltages and voltages

Feedback

AKM2G motors include resolver, Absolute Digital Encoders, or SFD
