Bently Nevada 9200 and 74712 Seismic Probe Velocity Sensors

Description

The Bently Nevada Seismic Probe Velocity Sensor System is designed to measure absolute vibration (relative to free space) of a bearing housing, enclosure, or structure.

The two-wire system consists of a transducer and appropriate cable.

The Seismoprobe series of velocity sensors is a two-wire design using moving coil technology.

It provides a voltage output proportional to the vibration velocity of the sensor.

Moving coil sensors are less sensitive to shock or pulse excitation than solid state velocity sensors.

Solid-state velocity sensors are themselves accelerometers with embedded integrated electronics.

Moving coil sensors are less sensitive to shocks or pulsed excitation and are a good choice for some applications.

Portable measurement applications are facilitated by the fact that no external power supply is required.

Available Types

There are two types of seismic probe velocity sensors:

l 9200: The 9200 is a two-wire sensor suitable for continuous monitoring or periodic measurements with test or diagnostic instruments.

When ordered with the optional integrated cable, the 9200 offers excellent corrosion resistance without the need for an additional cable.

l 74712: The Model 74712 transducer can be used for dcs-sis.com continuous monitoring or periodic measurements with test or diagnostic instruments.

l 74712: The 74712 is the high temperature version of the 9200.

Interconnecting cables can be used to connect 9200 and 74712 sensors to other instruments.

Other Instruments. These cables are available in various lengths, with or without stainless steel armour.

When ordering the 9200 and 74712 Seismic Probe Velocity Sensors, expect approximately six weeks lead time.

Approximate lead time is six weeks. Lead times vary depending on component availability and configuration.

For estimated lead times for specific orders, contact your local Bently Nevada representative.

SPECIFICATIONS

Unless otherwise noted, specifications are for machine enclosure vibration of 25 mm/s (1 in/s) at 100 Hz (6000 cpm) with a 10 kΩ load at approximately +22°C (+72°F).

Rexroth 0811405157 p/Q Closed loop control amplifier

Applications

The “1-channel p/Q control card” consists of the basic card in Europe format with DC/DC converter and front plate. With the “2-channel p/Q control card”, this basic card contains a p/Q daughter card with identical circuit and a joint front plate.

The supply voltage is 24 V =. The voltage of the valve to be regulated is not supplied via this card.

Input variables for the cards are the valve position command value, the pressure command value, the actual pressure value and possible control mode signals. The pressure sensors with voltage interface receive their voltage supply from the card (z6/z8). At the card, pressure sensors with voltage and current signal can be connected.

The pressure command value can be specified by means of a potentiometer. The potentiometers can be supplied from the card (z32/b12).

For control and comparison, the front plate and the circuit board comprise test points for the most important characteristics.

The circuit of the “2-channel card” is designed so that the controllers on basic and daughter card work in a completely independent manner. In this mode, the card is suitable for controlling 2 valves with integrated electronics.

An additional channel mode circuit allows for the dcs-sis.com considerable extension of the possible applications of the described card.

Features

– Suitable for controlling high-response valves with in stalled electronics

– Amplifier with additional electronics (daughter card)

– Analog amplifiers in Europe format for installation in 19″ racks

– Valve position control with PID behavior

– Outputs short-circuit-proof

– External shut-off for pressure controller

– Suitable for pressure sensors (1…6 V, 0…10 V, 4…20 mA)

– Supply for pressure sensors

– Cable break detection for pressure sensor

FOXBORO Compact FCM2F2 Fieldbus Communication Module

OVERVIEW

Fieldbus Communication Modules (FCMs) are fibre optic communication extenders that allow 200 Series fieldbus modules to be remotely mounted near plant processes.

FCM2F2 (RH914YZ), FCM2F4 (RH917JA) and FCM2F10 (RH916TQ)

Three models are available with nominal maximum substrate-to-substrate fibre optic cabling distances: up to 2 km (1.24 mi), 4 km (2.48 mi) and 10 km (6.21 mi) respectively.

FCMs are mounted in pairs on standard baseboards for redundancy. Non-redundant configurations require only a single FCM.

Fibre optic cabling is unaffected by electrical noise (EMI, RFI and lightning) and is a versatile and highly reliable means of extending signal communications.

It can be used in areas containing equipment such as rotating machinery, arc welders, etc. It can also be installed in cable bridges containing high voltage power lines, or in outdoor areas exposed to lightning hazards.

or outdoor areas exposed to lightning hazards. Its electrical dcs-sis.com isolation features protect against voltage differences and ground loops.

FCM Design

The FCM has a rugged extruded aluminium enclosure that provides physical protection for the circuitry.

Enclosures specifically designed for the installation of FBMs and FCMs provide varying degrees of environmental protection for the FCM, up to harsh environments (Class G), in accordance with ISA Standard S71.04.

The FCM can be removed/replaced from the base plate without power failure. six light-emitting diodes (LEDs) on the front of the FCM.

Six light-emitting diodes (LEDs) on the front of the FCM are used to indicate the status of network activity with the modular fieldbus and fibre-optic link, as well as the operational status of the FCM.

Figure 1 shows an example of a redundant configuration where the baseboards (containing the FCM) are connected point-to-point via fibre optic cable.

The cabling configuration shows a single fibre optic segment connecting two substrates. However, up to three fibre segments can be used to connect four baseboards (maximum).

The maximum fibre cabling distance between any two base stations is 10 km (using FCM2F10s (RH916TQ)).

The total fibre optic cabling distance (all cable segments) between base stations does not exceed 20 km (10.42 miles).
