Features

The ARM cortex A8 controller AM3352 is used to implement the real-time operating system. 560CMR02 is responsible for the interface management, event processing, and internal database.

The 560CMR02 is responsible for interface management, event processing, and internal database. The controller acts as a master for the SPB I/O bus (Serial Peripheral Bus). the RTU560 is synchronized with the time base provided by the 560RTC0x.

Time information from the 560RTC0x is provided to the 560CMR02 on the subrack backplane.

System-related configuration files are stored on a non-volatile flash memory card (Removable SD Card™) to ensure that the system configuration is valid after a power-on reset (PoR).

The battery buffer RTC is used to maintain accurate time in the event of a power failure.

The communication unit provides the following interfaces:

– Communication ports 1 … Communication ports 1 … 6 (CP1 … Communication ports 1 … 6 (CP1 … CP6): RS232C or RS485 serial interface with RJ45 connector CP1 and CP2 can be configured independently of each other as SPB I/O bus interfaces for the front end.

– Ethernet interfaces 1 and 2 (E1 and E2): 10/100BaseT with RJ45 connectors.

– USB 2.0 device interface for diagnostics and maintenance.

– The SPB I/O bus connects directly to the backplane connector.
