Woodward easYgen-3100XT/3200XT Genset Control

Woodward raised the standard in genset paralleling control and power management system with the

easYgen 3000XT Series controllers. These controllers come with standardized software that is simple to

configure, yet easily customized for individual applications. Enhanced connectivity enables fast and secure

interfacing to other controls and communications systems while the enhanced hardware is a drop-in

replacement for previous generation easYgen-3000 Series Controls.

The easYgen-3000XT Series controllers operate gen-sets of all sizes and applications. These controllers in

clude specifically designed algorithms and logic to start, stop, control, and protect the genset, circuit

breaker and the utility, where applicable. It allows standardizing on a single, affordable genset controller

for distributed power generation applications. The applications range from single stand-alone emergency

backup power to parallel load sharing of multiple gen-sets in complex, segmented distribution systems

with multiple utility feeds and tie breakers. Woodward’s easYgen-3000XT Series paralleling genset

controllers provide exceptional versatility and value for OEM switchgear builders, generator packagers,

and system integrators.

Woodward’s LogicsManager enables

LogicsManagerTM – Woodward’s LogicsManager enables to change the operation sequences and adapt them

to specific needs. The LogicsManager accomplishes this by monitoring a range of measuring values and inter

nal states, which are combined logically with Boolean operators and programmable timers. This enables to

create and/or modify control and relay functions.

FlexInTM – The analog inputs are configurable to operate with VDO, resistive, and/or 0 to 20 mA senders.

Flexible Outputs – Speed and voltage bias outputs are configurable to function with all speed governors and

voltage regulators. The outputs can also be used as freely scalable outputs (e.g. for driving external meters).

FlexCANTM – Advanced network interfaces ensure unsurpassed control performance – from engine control up

to total plant operation. The easYgen-3000 Series is capable of working with all common industrial interfaces,

including CAN, RS-232. and RS-485. The multiple communication protocols permit the easYgen-3000 Series to

communicate with a vast majority of engine control units (ECUs), external I/O boards, PLCs, and modems.

CANopen, J1939. Modbus RTU, and Modem protocols are supported.

DynamicsLCDTM – The adaptive and interactive 5.7″, 320×240 pixel color graphical LC display with soft keys

and a clear menu structure ensures intuitive user operation and navigation.

Woodward easYgen-3000 Series are control units

DESCRIPTION

The easYgen-3000 Series are control units for genset management applications. The numerous inputs and

outputs, along with a modular software structure, permit you to use the easYgen-3000 Series for a wide

range of applications with only a single part number. This includes stand-by, AMF, peak shaving, import-

export, cogeneration or distributed generation, among others. Also the easYgen-3000 Series is

compatible for island, island parallel, mains parallel and multiple unit mains parallel operations.

The easYgen-3000 Series is able to control up to 32 gensets connected in a network with automatic

sequencing.

The easYgen-3000 Series is available in two variants, the easYgen-3100 for cabinet back panel installation,

and the easYgen-3200 with graphical color display and soft keys for front panel mounting.

FlexAppTM – This feature provides the tools to easily configure the number of operated breakers: None,

GCB, GCB and MCB.

LogicsManagerTM – Woodward’s LogicsManager enables to change the operation sequences and adapt

Woodward easYgen LS-6XT Multi-Breaker control Description

Description

Woodward’s easYgen | LS-6XT control is synchronizer controller with integrated mains

decoupling and protection features. It enables several redundant communication

schemes with peer controls. The applications range from independent synch check

relay to complex power management system with multiple utility feeds, bus tie break

ers and group breakers in combination with Woodward’s easYgen-3400XT/3500XT

equipped genset controllers and/or easYgen | GC-3400XT equipped genset groups. Re

dundant busses running among the peer controls ensure that availability of your power

generation asset is not compromised to a single point of failure.

The LS-6XT control together with easYgen-3000XT controls are designed to support

OEM switch-gear builders, generator packagers, and system integrators standardize on

a single hardware for a multitude of utility parallel or island operations. Off-the-shelf

LS-6XT control is software configurable for one/two breaker control, gensets / genset

groups handling, and stand-alone/multi-unit application.

The LS-6XT controller is available in a rugged aluminum powder coated housing. An

LED Annunciator plate is integrated to the front for local annunciation of alarms that

are customizable on-site. Woodward easYview visualization panels are supported over

a separate Ethernet network that works as remote operator control panel.
