Bently 43217 and 37442 Accelerometer Mounting Kit Description

Description

The Accelerometer Mounting Kit protects an accelerometer from adverse physical and environmental conditions.

The mounting kit’s rugged design is both water-tight and dust resistant.

The mounting kit is available in three configurations to house various accelerometers.

All kits consist of a flat cover with a housing base, a set of three 1/4-in 20 UNC x 0.62 mounting screws with lock washers, a cable grip, an O-ring, and a gasket.

One configuration adds an optional dome cover. Another configuration adds an optional extension and an optional dome cover.

All kit designs mate with 12-mm (1/2-in) flexible or rigid conduit.

Properly installed kits, using an accelerometer mounting base and rigid or flexible conduit, meet API 670 requirements.

The conduit is ordered as an accessory. The mounting base is an accessory with the 23732, 330400 and 330425.

Prior to mounting, the machine surface where the housing will be installed must be spot faced.

An optional 303 stainless steel accelerometer mounting kit for extra protection in corrosive environments is also available.

It can be ordered under part number 164952-AA-BB.

Bently 3500/62 Process Variable Monitor

The 3500/62 monitor:

Continuously compares monitored parameters against configured alarm

setpoints to drive alarms for machinery protection. l

Provides essential machine information for both operations and maintenance personnel.

You can program the 3500/62 using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software to perform

either current or voltage measurements.

The 3500/62 offers I/O modules for three signal input scenarios: +/-10 Volts DC,

isolated 4-20 mA, or 4-20 mA with Intrinsically Safe zener barriers.

The Internal Barrier I/O provides external power input terminals to provide intrinsically safe power to the 4-20 mA transducers

When used in a Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) configuration, you must install

Process Variable Monitors adjacent to each other in groups of three.

When used in this configuration, the monitor employs two types of voting to ensure

accurate operation and to avoid loss of machinery protection due to single-point failures.

Bently 3500/62 Process Variable Monitor Description

Description

The 3500/62 Process Variable Monitor is a 6-channel monitor for processing

machine critical parameters that merit continuous monitoring, such as pressures,

flows, temperatures, and levels. The monitor accepts +4 to +20 mA current inputs

or any proportional voltage inputs between -10 Vdc and +10 Vdc.

It conditions these signals and compares the conditioned signals to user-programmable alarm setpoints.

Alarms

Alarm Setpoints

User can set Alert and Danger setpoints for the value measured by the monitor.

Alarms are adjustable and can normally be set from 0 to 100% of full-scale for each measured value.

The exception is when the full-scale range exceeds the range of the sensor in which

case the setpoint will be limited to the range of the sensor.

Accuracy of alarms is to within 0.13% of the desired value.

The Process Variable Monitor has both under and over alarm setpoints.

Bently 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System Description

Description

The 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer system is intended for use with centrifugal air compressors,

refrigeration compressors, process gas compressors, and other machines with tight installation requirements.

The 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System consists of:

• a 3300 NSv probe

• a 3300 NSv extension cable

• a 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor(1)

The primary uses for the 3300 XL NSv Transducer System are for areas where counter bore,

sideview, or rearview restrictions limit the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL 5 and 8 mm Transducer Systems.

It is also ideal for small target applications, such as measuring radial vibration

on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or axial position on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in).

It is primarily used in the following applications on fluid-filmed bearing machines where a small shaft or reduced side-view is present:

•Radial vibration and radial position measurements

• Axial (thrust) position measurements

• Tachometer and zero speed measurements

• Phase reference (Keyphasor signals)

EX2100e Excitation Control 35A and 120A Regulator Systems LAN

The architecture is a single control with a single Power Control Module (PCM) or dual

control with dual PCM, including a customer interface sub-system, optional diagnostic

local operator interface (touchscreen), optional control operator interface (COI) remote

touchscreen interface, control power input module, and PCM. The PCM consists of a

bridge interface sub-system, power bridge, optional ac and dc filter networks, and

alternating current (ac) and/or dc isolation devices. For expanded input and output (I/O)

capability, either VersaMax or Mark VIe control IONet I/O modules may be added.

The EX2100e Regulator system supports Ethernet local area network (LAN)

communication to the following:

• Turbine controls and ICS, HMI, Proficy*-based Historian, Programming Interface

(PI-based) Historian, Onsite Monitoring System (OSM), and COI

• ExtendedI/O modules using the Ethernet Global Data (EGD) protocol

• CustomerDCSthrough Ethernet or Modbus Ethernet remote terminal unit (RTU)

• ToolboxST application

• GE OnsiteSupport for monitoring and diagnostics

EX2100e Excitation Control 35A and 120A Regulator Systems ControlHardware

ControlHardware

The EX2100e Regulator system is available in several configurations to provide control

flexibility for Thyristor and Regulator systems. For small Regulator systems, two

pulse-width modulated (PWM) power converter modules use Insulated Gate Bipolar

Transistors (IGBT) to provide up to 35 A or 120 A nominal output. These systems can

support the following applications:

• Saturable Current Transformers / Power Potential Transformers (SCT/PPT) regulator

• Brushless exciter regulator

• Directcurrent (dc) rotating exciter regulator

In the SCT/PPT regulator and dc rotating exciter regulator applications, the EX2100e

Regulator system can de-sensitize the effect of the exciter time constant. It incorporates

direct measurement of the generator field voltage and field current to enhance speed of

response to system transients.

EX2100e Excitation Control 35A and 120A Regulator Systems Overview

Overview

The EX2100e Excitation Control Regulator system is GE’s most recent state-of-the-art

control system for steam, gas, or hydro generators for both new and retrofit units. Control

hardware and software design is closely coordinated between GE’s system and controls

engineering to ensure delivery of a true system solution. Integration is seamless between

Excitation Control systems, Turbine Control systems, Static Starter Control systems,

Integrated Control Systems (ICS), and the Human-machine Interface (HMI). For

stand-alone retrofit applications, integration with customer distributed control systems

(DCS) through serial or Modbus ® Ethernet is supported. This document specifically

addresses applications for the 35 A and 120 A (nominal) series of EX2100e Control

Regulator systems.
